           Now come with us to one of the oldest temple of Bihar Maa Chandika Bhawani Temple. It is said that in the dwapar era it was the capital of 'Maharaja birat' therefore its name was biratpur. It is said that the five pandavas with their wife Draupadi spent the period of agaytvas here. It is one of the important places in 51 Shakti peeth. Here it is also called Maa Sati's forehead was cut down. Therefore it is most viewable in 51 shakti peeths. Still devotees can get the view above the head of Maa Chandika Bhawani.

         Even today people come here from far away. After getting the view of the head of Maa Chandika people understand them more fortunate. We bow to this Chandika Bhawani temple.The temple sits in Sonwasa block of Saharsa district. The beauty of the temple attracts devotees and the visitors. The temple is made ​​up of middle ages. Part of the facade of the goddess is very sharp and viewable.  The Archaeological survey of the area was in 1872 century .The report is published by the Presidential Roy Asiatic Society. A record is inscribed on the door of the temple complex Budesh. There is also in this record the name of the descendant of King Serv Singh. Mind seeing the wonders of nature and the magnificent view of the temple is intriguing.

The door has been erected in memory of Queen Dulari Devi.. There is funfair held for the devotees who come here .Devotees carrying flowers, incense sticks and fun making games for their children. The ancient temple built in such a way as not to be. The growth of the temple was not heeded by the Government. Travelers come here from far-flung and go through the various conditionings. Some devotees without stopping reach Singheswar temple they are called as Dak Bam. Dak bam is served by the sewadars .The grace of Baba Singheshwar is limitless. Thousands of devotees come here every day. It is said that one who worships from the true heart gets the blessings of Baba Singheshwar just like Raja Dasrath. We bow to this Saint Singheshwar.
